COVID-19 UPDATE
The Trail Ninja programs including TNT Crew, GTeam and Academy are able to run for this 2021 spring season as per the Provincial Health Officer (PHO) Orders on youth sport. Registration will open on March 15th 2021, please register early as there are limited spaces available in the programs this year.
The Trail Ninja’s leadership is currently working on a comprehensive Safety Plan, which will be posted soon. Wishing everyone to be safe and follow all PHO orders, including but not limited to washing hands, wearing a mask, self quarantines if necessary, and/or avoiding public gatherings.

Program Descriptions
Trial Ninjas is offering three different programs for kids, ages 10-15. Dates and fees for each program below.
Program #1: Trail Ninjas Ride Academy
For boys and girls ages 11-15
Monday's, Wednesday's AND Friday's - April 14 to June 18, 2021
The aim of this program is to develop competitive mountain biking in the community. Kids will have the opportunity to become smart, strong and capable mountain bike enthusiasts that are competition ready if they chose, or simply riders for life. The Ride Academy attends the TNT Crew events listed below, Wednesday night training sessions; Sprockids leadership training (optional); and other advance mountain biking activities. All activities are led by qualified NCCP/PMBIA Cycling Mountain Bike coaches.
The details:
● Wednesdays - Ride Academy training rides led by Head Coach Pete Zablotny, Wade Garrod, and other NCCP trained coaches / leaders.
● Mondays
o leadership rides in partnership with Sprockids and their adult coaches (8 rides)
o group ride with trained leader / coach - 6:00pm
● Fridays
o Includes all TNT Ninja group rides including fun Friday group rides Saturdays (TBA)
o 2-3 TNT Ninja trail building and education
● Local group time trial (May 5), Kamloops Bike Ranch (May 24), Mock Enduro (June 4), Big Ed Car Drop (June 18), Wrap-up Event June 18th
● Trail Ninja Jersey - with early registration (by April 1st pls!)
Skill Level: Riders in the Academy group have several years riding experience. Pre-requisite programs are Sprockids, Vernon BMX and/or Tri Monsters. As a qualifier to the program academy riders MUST be self driven and can confidently ride this local route on their mountain bike: Click Here for program qualifier route. Advanced level mountain bike strongly recommended.
What to bring: Mountain bike with gears in good mechanical condition, helmut, water, light snack, dress for weather, good footwear.
Recommended: gloves, eyewear, hydration pack with multi-tool, pump, tube and small first aid kit.

Program #2: "G Tribe" Ninja's Program
Wednesday's with a field trip to wrap-up program
This program for girls only ages 10-15 and Starts April 14th till June 18th.
It’s a great program for girls who want to further their bike skills and confidence on the trail in a fun all girls environment. All G Tribe activities are led by qualified female NCCP/PMBIA Cycling Mountain bike coaches. This year's program will incorporate a biking road trip to the Kamloops Bike Park opportunities to race with your group and peers. Girls signed up for the G Tribe will be invited to join all of the TNT Events (below) for no extra charge.
Program includes:
● Wednesday after-school training rides led by female Cycle BC/PMBIA trained coaches.
● April 14, 21, 28 & May 5, 12, 19, 26 & June 2, 9, 16, 23 5:30 to 7pm.
● Local group time trial (May 5), Kamloops Bike Ranch (May 24), Mock Enduro (June 4), Wrap-up Event June 18th
● Trail Ninja Jersey - with early registration (by April 1st)
Skill Level - Basic trail skills required. Must have a mountain bike with gears and ideally front suspension. Intermediate and up program.
Recommended Prerequisite programs - Sprockids, Vernon BMX and/or Tri Monsters (some exceptions considered)

Program #3: Trail Ninjas Trail Crew (TNT Crew)
Friday's and Some Saturday's
Starting Friday April 30th till June 18th 2021
Girls and boys Ages 10-15
The aim of this program is to empower youth through mountain biking and trail building knowledge. The focus of the TNT Crew is on fun Friday group rides and getting dirty once and a while so we can involve our youth in taking care of our trails and parks. This program provides supervision, instruction and coordinated events but does not involve the level of bike coaching the Academy and G tribe offer. Kids enrolled for the Coaching programs are invited to join all of the TNT events for no extra cost. The group rides are Fridays and will include a few Saturday trail days and a BBQ. Parents must be available to drop off and pick up kids from designated meeting places. For insurance purposes, all participants must be current members of NOCS. The program includes:
● Saturdays - Two or three trail building events with with experienced mentors, like Cam Sorensen (Contour trails), Jason Martin (Manager of Silver Star Bike Park Trail Crew & NOCS Trail Maintenance Director)
● Fridays - evening group rides. Starts April 30th.
● Wrap-up Event June 18th.
● Trail Ninja Jersey - with early registration (by April 1st)
Skill Level - Basic trail skills required. Must have mountain bike with gears, water bottle, and helmet.
Recommended Prerequisite programs - Sprockids, Vernon BMX and/or Tri Monsters (some exceptions considered).
