NOCS Membership
Becoming a NOCS member strengthens the collective voice of the mountain biking community in the North Okanagan. A strong, active membership helps us protect our existing trails, advocate for new trails and mountain bike facilities, and secure grants for trail maintenance and construction. Membership also allows us to mobilize volunteers and access the resources needed to continue developing and maintaining our trail network.
As a NOCS member, you can take part in club activities such as social rides, trail days, and other events, and you’ll gain access to valuable member benefits through our sponsors.
Please note: Membership is required to participate in NOCS group rides, in accordance with our liability insurance. A portion of every membership fee goes directly toward maintaining this insurance coverage.
The North Okanagan Cycling Society uses Hivepass for its membership system. Hivepass is an app designed specifically for mountain bike clubs, making it easy to manage your membership and access club information.
Hivepass features include:

Hivepass FAQ
-
Hivepass is an app specifically designed for people to sign up for memberships. It was developed in New Zealand and is widely used there. It is starting to gain traction in North America. Revelstoke Cycling Association also uses this membership platform.
-
The main reason is we found Hivepass very easy to use. Many members found our previous membership system cumbersome and it required hours of volunteer data entry. Hivepass also makes it easier for members to access benefits and provides more exposure for our sponsors. We believe this will help attract more members and more sponsors to NOCS. In turn, this will boost revenue, for trails and other cycling initiatives.
The news feed is a great feature for our members to remain informed with updates and events!
-
All member benefits are listed under the “Deals” tab when you open up Hivepass. That’s where you see our sponsors, and find out what benefits are being offered. Simply present your digital membership card at participating sponsors.
-
Annual memberships are now valid for one year from date of purchase. So, if you buy a membership on January 1st, it will be active until December 31st the following year. At this point, you’ll be asked to re-sign the waiver before you can renew your membership.
-
Yes! Family memberships are available for up to two adults and two children living in the same household. Additional family members are extra. Remember that when the primary family member agrees to the waiver, they are also agreeing on behalf of their children.
