Join the NOCS Board of Directors

Want to help shape the future of mountain biking in Vernon? NOCS is looking for new Board Directors to join our team of passionate volunteers.

About the Board

NOCS has 12 Directors, elected for 2-year terms at the Annual General Meeting. The Board ensures strong governance, financial oversight, and strategic direction, while supporting the Executive Director and advancing NOCS’s mission.

Directors typically commit 6–12 hours per month, including:

• Monthly board meetings (first Tuesday evening, in person or on Zoom)

• Email correspondence and voting

• Following up on action items and committee work

Who We’re Looking For

We welcome candidates from all backgrounds. Skills in the following areas are especially valuable (but not required):

• Events & fundraising

• Grant writing

• Human resources & governance

• Marketing & communications

• Cycling advocacy
