Local Trailbuilder featured on Mountain Biking BC

Cam Sorensen has been building trails in British Columbia for over 25 years. He has been a trailblazer for trail development and sustainability in the Province and a leader for fellow trail builders to follow.
From his early beginnings of making trails so he and his friends could have more options to ride, to building the Silverstar Bike Park into one of the best in Canada, Cam continues to pursue his passion of creating the perfect trail.
Predator Social Ride
Weโre excited to partner with Predator Ridge for this monthโs Social Ride, followed by an aprรจs event in their Clubhouse Ballroom. Stick around after the ride for a full BBQ including burgers, fries, Caesar salad, and a cash bar.
This event is your chance to learn more about Ellison Landing โ a new park-inspired neighborhood coming to the edge of Ellison Provincial Park. The Predator Ridge development team will be there to share their vision and talk about future trail access as part of this evolving area.
Come ride, eat, connect, and be part of the conversation about the future of trails in the Predator Ridge community.

It just wouldnโt be Bikefest without a theme! This year we are paying homage to the "dirtbag mountain biker". Bring on the plaid and mullets!

Spring is in the air, but the trails arenโt quite ready! Ride smart during these shoulder season weeks so we can all enjoy a full season ahead.
Ride early when the ground is still frozen.
Avoid mudโriding soft trails causes trail braiding & long-term damage.
Explore other options: hit Silver Star for some turns, glide on skinny skis at Sovereign, or go for a spin on the Rail Trail.
Take care of the trails now, and theyโll take care of you all season long.

Fat Tire Fun Ride
GoByBike week is on, and on behalf of GoByBike week, NOCS is hosting a fat bike ride.
Join us for a fun, no-drop inclusive ride! Participants should have intermediate bike handling skills and fitness. We will likely split into sub groups along the way that that keeners can go ahead.
The Ride plan is: Gingerly, Three Rings, Pond Serendipity, Garden, South Park, Cabin, No Boats and return via Gingerly. Feet on the pedals and ready to roll at 10am. We look forward to seeing you there!

Trail Ninjas Movie Night
Come on out for the NOCS Trail Ninjas movie night at the Vernon Towne Theater on Friday Feb 21! Itโs a mountain bike film festival style event to celebrate local people, trails and BC athletes on the BIG screen.
This year Bas Van Steenbergen will be premiering his newest edit in person at our event prior to its world wide web release
Doors open at 6PM, show starts at 6:45. . Everyone is welcome to this super fun evening! Proceeds go to NOCS Trail Ninjas, youth biking and trail building programs.

Itโs our 20th anniversary, and weโre pulling out all the stops! This year is all about celebrating with you, so get ready for exciting events and some must-have anniversary merch. Stay tunedโ2025 is going to be a party on and off the trails!
If you previously purchased a three year auto-renewing membership, you will receive a notification before it renews. It renews yearly from the original purchase date and will auto-renew 2 times. For example. if you signed up in 2023, then 2025 will be the third year after which it will expire. If you want to check your sign up date, you can login.
